Maths, not too tricky
Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 7:22PM Too tricky for some it seems.
After the announcement that the UK economy is shrinking faster than expected the Chancellor George (Gideon) Osborne has been doing the press himself for a change - a pretty good sign he will be sacrificed soon. The economy is in a mess, the best the current coalition can come up with is "We are not as bad as some others in Europe" and the ever present "This is what we inherited". Yes, a mess was inherited, only the most blind Labour supporter would say otherwise, but the global crisis is not all Gordon Browns fault. What is a mess is Osborne - recently described as a man "educated beyond his intelligence" a quote maybe not too far from the mark.
This video from ITV news, while worth a watch to see how many soundbites he tries to force in and make terrible economic news look OK, has a classic - 110% comment. You may say it is just a comment in an interview, but this man is in charge of the economy of Great Britain, and he makes a mistake that is ridiculed when a footballer says it - you cannot give 110%, maths does not allow it. 5'12 secs to the end is the quote.

The country really will be better off when this man is not involved in the "running" of the economy.
